Intense UV light such as a germicidal lamp can accelerate bleeding of plasticizer contained in flexible PVC films, causing stickiness and deterioration of the films. ACHILLES SEIDEN-F UV Guard protects surfaces of antistatic and UV absorbing type PVC with fluorinated films coated to prevent bleeding of the plasticizer, achieving significantly longer service life when compared under the same service conditions.

Forced bleeding test by UV irradiation
After UV irradiation for 24 hours from a distance of 15cm using Hitachi germicidal lamp GL-15, white powder was sprinkled on the specimen surface and then inspected if bleeding exists.
The white power became attached to plasticizers bled from YELLOW SEIDEN-F, SEIDEN CRYSTAL and SEIDEN CRYSTAL UV, which are all non-UV-protected and directly exposed to UV irradiation, while no white power attached on SEIDEN-F UV Guard as no sticky plasticizer bled. |
